*You count all the freckles on kit or the AGT dolls if they have them
*You swoon for anything AG
*You feel so terrible when you miss an opportunity on eBay to bid on a great deal

*You have about 14 copies of the current catalog that are enclosed with every new order, AND YOU CAN'T THROW THEM AWAY!
*You browse through the current catalog at least once a day
*You have bought 5 dolls since last Nov.
*You have loads of cute AG boxes, AND YOU CAN'T THROW THEM AWAY!
*You look through the Sunday newspaper ads for little girls fashions, and dream about how they would look on your dolls
*You sign your dd up for the AG club, but you spend more time there than she does!

* You get your niece interested in the dolls so that you have an excuse to shop for doll stuff all the time.
* All of your friends LOVE your doll collection and although they won't admit that they want a doll, when you buy them one for Christmas, it sits on their bed in their house.
* You have friends that have admitted to talking to their dolls via telepathy rather than out loud for fear that another adult will think they are crazy for still playing with dolls (only other people who play with dolls will understand).
* The way you unwind when you've had a stressful day is to play with your doll.
* Your husband sends you to your doll room when you are stressed.
* Your valentine's present was a doll chair - and you praised your husband for being so in tune to your wants.
* The people at work recognize that your husband is devoted because he caters to your doll needs.
* You have a gift registry at American Girl - in your own name.
* You do not let any children (including your own) play with your dolls. They have their own.

OK here are some good ones:

Your therapist says you need to find a more *age appropriate* hobby

Seeing a girl in person with an AG doll stops you in your tracks

You don't have even close to enough room to display all your AG stuff, and you're stocking up now for when you move to your next, bigger place in a few years

You design your Halloween(and Purim if applies) costumes so that you can have an excuse to carry a doll all day

If you're driving alone, you buckle your doll into a seatbelt if your doll is coming with you

You have come up with likes, dislikes, favorite things and personalities for all your dolls(or dolls that don't already come with one)

You stood in line for hours at an AGP job open house and couldn't understand why someone who has 6 years retail experience and knows everything about AG wouldn't get hired(yes that happened last year)

You watch TV or movies at home with your dolls

you sit certain dolls next to each other on their shelf because they have similar personalities or get along better and have more to talk about

You are embarrassed and rarely tell anyone how much you spend on dolls and doll related stuff(You mean you spent $87 on a DOLL?!) or lie and say cost less than what they really cost

You have so many dolls that when you get a new one and some one comes over they don't even notice

All your 18in dolls have to have their own doll or toy so they won't get bored

When you visit your 85 year old parents and you take a few dolls with you each time. (Step father will sit down with me and we go over each doll what her name is and what she is wearing. So far his favorite doll is Kit.)

Your daughter just shakes her head when you say to a sales person want to see pictures of my girls.

You give AG slippers as gifts to your adult friends. (My friends got Elizabeth's slippers for Christmas.)

There are boxes everywhere because you are afraid to throw away anything AG.

When you need a room just for the dolls, and until that happens they are all over the house.

~ You dress your dolls in pink for Valentines Day, party dresses for Christmas etc, but never do yourself.

~ You can describe any AGOT if someone gives you a number.

* your doll clothes stay neater and on a hangar more than your own
* getting an AG catalog is like getting a present in the mail
* you became an Historian because these characters got you intrested in history at an early age.
